WWII 50 Cal Shell

Commissioned by a fellow woodworker in D.C, I was asked to turn an imitation “projectile” out of walnut on my lathe for a WWII Navy 50 caliber anti-air shell that’s over 80 years old and almost 3’ long!

The shell weighs 20.2 lbs (9.2kg) and measures 30 inches in overall length.
