Hired as an Associate & project manager in 2021. Since then, I’ve designed and managed several projects throughout the Washington, DC area including two projects that just finished construction. I’ve also recently served as a key member to the design team for two large-scale competitions: a resiliency planning project along the Hudson River in New York City and a Smithsonian project on the National Mall in Washington, DC.

2020 - Present (Fall Semester | Graduate Level)

Through the varied lenses of sustainability, performance, cost, and site specificity, this course examines the use, characteristics, and contract documents (details & specifications) of materials commonly used in landscape construction. For the previous two years in the fall, this course has been at the center of an ongoing partnership between the University, Montgomery County Parks Department, and Glenstone Museum featuring a series of graduate-level studio explorations for the future of the Travilah area in Maryland.

The digital age has brought with it an increasing diversity of new design toolsets including Building Information Modeling (BIM), and in turn, is contesting conventional design processes. Using Rhino & Grasshopper as a point of departure, this course seeks to help students understand how landscape architects and urban designers, in a variety of professional practice models, can leverage imaginative digital technology to accomplish more efficient, collaborative, and higher quality project delivery.

This course breaks down the increasing diversity of digital tools available to aspiring professionals and provides an understanding of common and emerging workflows in the field of landscape architecture. Great cities are defined by their great streets and open spaces. Yet the very existence of cities has been challenged by effects of the pandemic and climate change. Hosted by the Georgia Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Brian Jencek and I co-presented several HOK projects that make the case for open spaces within cities.

Acted as workshop co-presenter with Brad Cantrell & Adam Mekies at the ASLA National Conference in Philadelphia. This was a continuation of the original workshop performed in 2017 at the ASLA conference in Los Angeles.

Georgetown Resiliency Mapping Lecture  |   Cal Poly Pomona

Called upon by the capstone class of the Landscape Architecture program at Cal Poly Pomona to run an interactive workshop focused on mapping drainage patterns and point-source based watersheds for the Georgetown area - the studio's site of focus.

Acted as a design co-chair for the 2019 Community Build Day - a year long design and planning effort that culminates at a one-day event to enhance an underserved community park / plaza. Work completed while at HOK with other colleagues from the firm.

2013 Solar Decathlon Competition  |  West Virginia University  |  Irvine, CA

2012 - 2013

Acted as Project Co-Lead for the award-winning P.E.A.K. House in the international competition for team West Virginia University. Responsible for design and construction of the building's exterior, design and contracting of the green roof, and general procurement of materials and funding for the entire project.
